This smoothie will make you feel as cool as a cucumber (pun intended) The cucumber is high in potassium and the skin is rich in Vitamin K, A & B and helps keep you hydrated since they are 96% water, flushes out toxins, gives your skin minerals like silicon, magnesium and as stated, potassium.  Aids in digestion thanks to the high fiber peel,  keeps your kidneys happy and the sterols in cucumbers help lower bad cholesterol. And that’s JUST the cucumber!!!

The ginger can help relieve and treat nausea, assist in relieving muscle  pain and soreness, has anti-imflammatory effects, lowers blood sugar, treats cronic indigestion, helps with cramps caused by PMS and improves brain function.

Ingredients

1 medium or 1/2 of a large cucumber

1″ piece of peeled ginger root

1/2C coconut water

1 medium ripe banana

1 scoop 1stPhorm Level-1 Vanilla Ice Cream (optional)

1 handful of ice (about 1/2-3/4C)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix until well combined and smooth

    1. Hi Christy! You can have it anytime you like. If you want it to relieve bloating- allow 2 hours for it to tak effect on your system 🙂

  2. Great smoothie! Only I’m not a fan of bananas, so I left it out. Is there a replacement of similar value or is it best to just leave out?

    1. Hi Carissa. You could add in 1/2C plain, nonfat Greek yogurt. The banana gives the smoothie it’s creamy texture so you can use yogurt to achieve that as well 🙁
