Berry Good Smoothie

This smoothie has quickly become one of my favorites!!  It makes a very large smoothie (could split into 2 servings if you like)  that is filling but not heavy and also delivers 3 cups of good for you spinach to your body!!

This is a great way to sneak in your veggies for you…or your kids!  I whip this up for my preworkout meal and it provides the perfect balance of protein, carbs and fats to help maximize my workout and keep me going strong.

Blend this baby up for breakfast and start your day on a “berry good” note (had to get a cheesy joke in there 🙂 fuel your workouts or end your day with this little sweet treat.


1C unsweetened almond milk

3C spinach – lightly packed (baby or regular is good)

1/2C frozen blueberries

1/2C frozen strawberries

1 scoop 1stPhorm Level-1 Vanilla Ice Cream protein available HERE

1 handful of ice (more to to make it thicker if you like)




Put milk and spinach in blender first.  Then add in remaining ingredients.

Blend until smooth and thick.

Spinach is very light and won’t fall to the bottom of the blender to mix so you may need to use a blender plunger if you have one to help push the spinach into the blades.  If you don’t have a plunger, simply blend, then turn off blender and using a spoon push spinach down and place lid back on and blend again. Repeat if necessary until spinach is mixed.

As stated earlier, this makes 1 very large smoothie or you could break it into 2 servings.  Nutrition below is for the entire smoothie.
