Clean Eating BBQ Sauce

Summer is all about BBQ!!!  Hell, being American is all about BBQ!! 🙂  That doesn’t mean you have to partake in all the carbs, calories and sugars traditional BBQ sauces pack.  Whip this up for your next BBQ and you and your guests can enjoy all the full flavor of BBQ sauce without the guilt!

Ingredients

1C Walden Farms Thick & Spicy BBQ sauce

1/4C Light/Low Calorie Italian dressing

1/4C Ideal Brown sugar or brown sugar substitute

1T Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk until smooth.

Store in the fridge in a sealed mason jar, airtight container or recycle an empty ketchup bottle.

  1. Those ingredients are full of chemicals, artificial ingredients & preservatives. The BBQ sauce likely has corn syrup or at the very least sugar. Light or low czl dressings Ade worse than their full fat varieties. Read the ingredients. Its not just about calories or carbs its about putting healthy whole foods into your body!

    1. I agree. It’s label vs. ingredients. The BBQ sauce contains no corn syrup or sugar. Traditional BBQ sauces contain corn syrups. The dressing main ingredient is olive oil. Not soybean oil like most dressings. I avoid chemical laden foods and choose foods that are more well put together versus just a “low cal” label. 🙂
