Puppy Ice Cream Peanut Butter Sandwiches

Puppy Ice Cream Peanut Butter Sandwiches

Summer is here and in the Midwest that means hot, muggy and humid as hell.  Now imagine that environment for your little furry friends.  Help them stay cool with this tasty treat!!

For the “sandwich” part- create the “Peanut Butter Puppy Treats” you will find on my site.

Below is the info on how to make the ice cream.  Serve the ice cream sandwiches or just feed them a spoonful of the ice cream by itself.  Either way, your four legged friends will thank you!!

Ingredients

1C Creamy Peanut Butter

1C Greek nonfat plain yogurt

1/4C of bacon bits (optional)

Directions:

In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter and yogurt.  Mix with a hand mixer until well combined.

Next, Fold in the bacon bits.

Freeze until semi solid then spread on the premade and cooled Peanut Butter Puppy treats and create a sandwich.  Place in a tupperware container and freeze.  When you are ready to give your furry pal a treat, remove from freezer and allow to thaw 5 mins before serving.

Depending upon the size of the cookie cutter you used for the dog treat,  I used a 2″ circle and the recipe made approx 24 ice cream sandwiches.
